Life outside work
Outside work, I’m usually thinking about the next place to visit or something I’ve been reading. Travel, philosophy, and literature keep giving me different ways to look at familiar things.
I’ve travelled to more than 20 countries. My Google Maps is covered in saved pins: restaurants, beaches, and places I’d send a friend. I’m always happy to share them.
Ahangama, Sri Lanka. An early morning at Midigama Beach, surfers paddling out, and roti with pol sambol from a roadside stall on Galle Road.
Nusa Lembongan, Indonesia. Walking through Jungut Batu towards the mangroves, stopping at a small warung for nasi campur.
Batumi, Georgia. The city lights against the Black Sea, followed by lobiani and a glass of Kindzmarauli.
Barcelona. Sant Antoni, a terrace on Parlament Street, vermut, and anchovies on toast.
Florence. A shared table at Trattoria Mario near Mercato Centrale and a bowl of ribollita.
If we’re heading to the same place, get in touch. There are probably a few more pins to exchange.
